I really love eating here because when you order fish, it already comes with stir fried vegetables, rice, and sambal. No need to order extras it’s a complete meal that’s filling and delicious. The flavor is great, the sambal is perfectly spicy, portions are just right, and the price is totally worth it for the Kuta area. The place is clean, comfortable, and the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended!

If you were only in Kuta for 1 night, this is the place you need to check out. Sonya sells the freshest, tastiest, most succulent fish I’ve ever had. The red grouper was an excellent choice for us. At this place you get to see with your own eyes how no additives, no preservatives, no flavour gets added but somehow this will be the most nourishing meal of your stay in Kuta. You pick your own fish, give thanks for its life as your nourishment, and it gets barbecued to absolute perfection on the most authentic pit using real firewood. The result is the juiciest fish with the crackliest and crispiest skin. We were in Kuta for 4 nights and we had at least 1 meal here on all 4! The choice of fish varies from day to day because Sonya only sells the catch of the day. Another win for freshness. This is now a staple for all future trips to Lombok! (p.s. there are 2 stalls and this is her second one so that’s why it’s sonya’s seafood 2)

Okay, so this is a long reviews but if you like bbq fish it’s worth the read. So, this place is all about the bbq fish, which I habe to say they cooked perfectly, soft, flakey and crispy. Me and my friend had the parrot fish which I could totally recommend. But read more, this is restaurant where you can play the game. The fish prices are negotiable so decide what you want and a good guide is 130-200 for a 2 person fish depending on the type. Tell them you don’t want the vegetables and salsa, there terrible: get yourself fries or whatever else you want. You will have to negotiate this in with the price of the fish. They might cook it to perfection but they don’t know what seasoning is, and no I’m not joking. They were so confused when I asked for lemon, salt and pepper. So confused that I wouldn’t ask them to do it, just ask them for it yourself The fish is cooked so well, if you season to your own taste it’s amazing. However the price you pay, you shouldn’t have to be doing that. It’s expensive for what you get, but if you play it right you could have a great meal Didn’t notice some of the previous reviews mention of terrible hygiene. Just the usual indo standards.

This was incredible, I’m a big fish lover and the white snapper we got served here was cooked to perfection and soooo fresh! One of the girls I was with was a little worried the fish was fresh and locally caught, the lady laughed and answered her fish don’t have passport, the staff was so funny and friendly even helped some of our group clean and open the fish ready to dig in! Was so glad we tried this place after being recommended to go, if you like fish please do yourself the favor and visit this local restaurant!Best part - the price is absolutely crazy, at home in Spain this would’ve been such an expensive dinner where here we paid 5€ per person sharing several big white snappers that were served with all the veggies and rice and sauces!! Simply amazing! Next time I’m in Lombok I will be back for sure!

The seafood at the restaurant is very fresh, with excellent preparation and flavorful sauces. The staff is friendly, speaks English well, and provides great service. The ambiance is cozy, making it a perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal. Highly recommended!
